Dalle alture della Val Martello in Alto Adige nasce l’ispirazione di Plimatech dell’Architectural design di Florim.
Modellata su una varietà di granito chiamato Plima, la collezione unisce agli innumerevoli vantaggi tecnico-progettuali del gres porcellanato l’aspetto naturale e la struttura di una pietra estremamente rara. Fu infatti un imprenditore locale a scoprirla negli anni Ottanta quando fece tagliare un grosso masso estratto dalle rive del rio Plima, rivelando così un granito scintillante dal colore grigio-azzurro. Questa pegmatite altoatesina dalle caratteristiche uniche si distingue per la texture mossa, costellata da brillanti formazioni cristalline e screziature chiaro- scure distribuite in modo variegato sulla superficie.
La collezione Plimatech/ presenta tre differenti colorazioni aggiungendo alla tipica tonalità grigio-azzurra del granito Plima (reinterpretata con Plimagray), altre due proposte cromatiche, una sui toni del bianco (Plimawhite) e l’altra su quelli del beige (Plimabeige), per offrire al progettista un ampio ventaglio di possibilità compositive.
L’eterogeneità estetica caratteristica della pietra naturale viene ripresa nella collezione attraverso tre varianti grafiche. La 01, quella più minimale, è dolcemente venata e particolarmente indicata, soprattutto nel grande formato, per dare carattere alle architetture dal gusto più essenziale. La 02 presenta un aspetto più variegato con lievi stonalizzazioni che tendono al bianco, pensate per aggiungere un tocco ruvido e materico agli spazi. Infine la 03 è caratterizzata da un alto numero di formazioni cristalline che le conferiscono una linea più mossa, ideale per contesti progettuali che ricercano un dialogo con la natura circostante, tra spazi interni ed esterni.
The inspiration for Florim’s Plimatech Architectural design comes from high up in the Martell Valley of the Alto Adige region.
Modeled on a variety of granite called Plima, this collection combines the innumerable technical and design advantages of porcelain stoneware with the natural look and feel of a highly sought-after stone. It was in fact a local businessman who discovered it in the1980s when he had a large boulder cut from the banks of the Plima stream, unveiling a glittering blue-grey granite. With its unique characteristics, this South Tyrol pegmatite is distinctive for its rough texture, studded with brilliant crystalline formations and light-dark mottling distributed in a varied manner over the surface.
The Plimatech collection presents three different colors, adding two further proposals to the typical blue-grey shade of Plima granite (reinterpreted with Plimagray), one in white (Plimawhite) and the other in beige (Plimabeige), thus affording the designer a wide range of compositional possibilities.
The aesthetic heterogeneity characteristic of natural stone is captured in the collection through three graphic variants. 01, the most minimalist is softly veined and, especially in the large format, is particularly appropriate to confer character on architecture of more essential taste. 02 has a more variegated appearance, with slight shading tending towards white, designed to add a rough, textural touch to spaces. Finally, 03 is characterized by a high number of crystalline formations that give it a wavier line, ideal for design contexts that, between interior and exterior spaces, pursue a dialogue with the surrounding natural environment.
